Orlando Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou has shared an important message about young talent Moremi, encouraging the player to focus on developing his own identity rather than trying to imitate established stars such as Relebohile Mofokeng and Oswin Appollis.

Speaking to journalists, Ouaddou explained that every footballer has unique qualities and should concentrate on becoming the best version of themselves instead of copying another player's style.

The Pirates coach revealed that he had personally spoken to Moremi, reminding him that attempting to become someone else could prevent him from discovering his full potential.

“I also told him that if he wants to be Mofokeng, he cannot be Mofokeng. He has to remain Moremi. Mofokeng cannot be Moremi, and if he wants to be Appollis, he will not be Appollis. Appollis cannot be Moremi,” Ouaddou told journalists.

The coach's comments highlight his belief in individuality, confidence and personal development among young footballers.

Rather than placing unnecessary pressure on Moremi by comparing him with other talented players, Ouaddou wants him to embrace his strengths, work hard and establish his own reputation.

The message is clear: Moremi does not need to become another Mofokeng or Appollis to succeed. He simply needs to become the best Moremi possible.
