Oswin Appollis's decreased playing time for Orlando Pirates has been explained by Abdeslam Ouaddou, who claims that the club is being careful with one of its most important offensive players.

In a remarkable answer, the Buccaneers coach brought up the significance of safeguarding the winger and making sure he can handle the team's tough schedule when asked about Appollis' minimal participation.

The gem is being protected, Ouaddou said.

The comment has garnered notice, especially considering the star power of the South African international and Appollis' role in the Pirates' offensive strategy.

Appollis has been a valuable asset to the Soweto giants' offensive department since his arrival. A key alternative for the Buccaneers, thanks to his technical skill, inventiveness, quickness, and capability to affect matches in the final third.

The topic of why he isn't playing more minutes has arisen among fans who want to see him start more games, especially in crucial domestic tournaments.

Instead of trying to get the most out of the player in every game, Ouaddou claims that the technical staff is focusing on his long-term impact.

The coaching staff of Orlando Pirates has taken on a new duty in coordinating the workloads of its players as the team competes on numerous fronts. Players, particularly those who play high-intensity attacking positions often, may feel the physical toll of a packed football schedule.

It may be vital for Appollis to stay physically fresh throughout the important parts of the campaign, as his ability to generate chances and challenge rival defenders may make a huge difference.

Squad management becomes even more crucial as the Carling Knockout Cup unfolds, as it provides Pirates with yet another chance to bolster their trophy aspirations.

Ouaddou's remarks demonstrate how much the coaching staff appreciates Appollis's contributions and how much faith he has in him.

The coach has framed his decision to limit his playing time as a calculated move to safeguard a key player on the team, rather than an indication of insecurity.

The meticulously controlled Appollis is expected to produce his finest performances when the greatest tests come, according to Pirates fans.

Ouaddou makes it plain: The pirates want to keep a gem to themselves.
