The race for the Carling Knockout Cup semi-finals continues this weekend, with several South African football giants preparing for important quarter-final encounters as they battle for a place in the last four.
Football supporters can expect an exciting weekend as Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Sekhukhune United, Siwelele FC, Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu FC look to keep their hopes of winning the competition alive.
The quarter-final action will take place on Saturday, 7 November, and Sunday, 8 November 2026, with three matches still to be played following Mamelodi Sundowns' qualification for the semi-finals.
Orlando Pirates will be among the first teams in action when they take on Sekhukhune United on Saturday afternoon. The encounter is scheduled to kick off at 15:00 at Orlando Amstel Arena.
The Buccaneers will be determined to secure victory in front of their supporters and move one step closer to lifting another trophy. However, Sekhukhune United will also be eager to cause an upset and eliminate one of the competition's biggest contenders.
On Sunday, attention will turn to two important encounters scheduled for 18:00.
Kaizer Chiefs will face Siwelele FC at Peter Mokaba Stadium in Polokwane. The Amakhosi will be hoping to use their experience and quality to secure a place in the semi-finals, but they must be prepared for a difficult challenge from their opponents.
In the other Sunday fixture, Stellenbosch FC will welcome AmaZulu FC to Danie Craven Stadium. Both teams will be determined to progress, making the encounter an important test for the two sides.
Meanwhile, Mamelodi Sundowns have already secured their place in the semi-finals after defeating Golden Arrows 1-0. The Brazilians will now wait to discover which team they will face in the next round.
The remaining quarter-final fixtures promise plenty of excitement, with three semi-final places still available.
