Bashiru doubled the advantage in the 71st minute thanks to another breakthrough they created. His strike was so good that the Brazilian goalkeeper had no chance of saving it.
Ten minutes before the end of normal time, the forward went back to the scoreboard to finish off her brace, so she was clearly not done. Bashiru calmly put the game away by dribbling past multiple Brazilian defenders and scoring to put the game away 3-0.
Kelly scored a well-directed header in the 89th minute to help Brazil get back in the game. Nonetheless, the result remained unchanged thanks to Nigeria's ability to hold on to their lead and earn a resounding victory, advancing them to the final.
In addition to qualifying for the final of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, the Flamingos became the first African nation to do so, which was a huge deal for African football.
