Final Champions League Table After The End Of Matchday4

According to a report by BBC Sport on Wednesday November 4, 2026, impressive play in the first half helped Arsenal to a crucial 2-1 Champions League win away to Slavia Prague. The Gunners weathered heavy late pressure to earn the three points.

The away team started strong and had multiple good chances to score. In the ninth minute, Noni Madueke confidently finished off a long-range pass from Viktor Gyökeres to open the scoring.

Gyökeres, Mikel Merino, and Eberechi Eze all kept up their dangerous play for Arsenal. Goalkeeper Nazar Domchak, though, made a string of spectacular stops to keep the score from going any higher.

While Eze beat the goalkeeper on another promising attempt, Merino came close to extending Arsenal's lead with a powerful effort. Eze's shot was cleared off the line.

Gyökeres scored a spectacular goal for the Gunners in the 38th minute after receiving a superb pass from Merino into the penalty area. The Gunners eventually doubled their lead.

Arsenal kept their defensive shape and went into halftime with a comfortable two-goal lead, while Slavia Prague failed to create many good chances.

With a renewed sense of purpose, the home team came out after halftime, giving Arsenal a run for their money and introducing new attacking options.

Promptly following the restart, Oskar Kubiak sent a dangerous shot toward David Raya, who made a sensational save to maintain Arsenal's lead.

Slavia persisted in her quest for a breakthrough, putting Raya through multiple interventions. Domchak saved a shot from Madueke inside the penalty area, but Arsenal continued to threaten through him.

As the home team ramped up their pressure, Kubiak once again sent a dangerous header crashing against the post. Later on, Raya irritated Slavia even more by making yet another crucial save.

In the 90th minute, Slavia took the lead for the first time on a goal by Wiktor Nowak, who calmly finished off a cross from David Jurasek and beat Raya.

A nail-biting finish ensued as VAR validated the goal's validity. The Gunners won a nail-biting Champions League match away from home by defending their lead in the dying minutes.
