Mark Bellingham, the father of JUDE BELLINGHAM, has received an unexpected call-up to the England veterans team.
He has been summoned to compete against Ireland—an impressive seven years after he stepped away from professional football.
Bellingham Sr, aged 50, has a rich football background, having played in non-league football throughout a 17-year career.
During his playing days, he represented 22 different clubs, including Leamington and Bromsgrove Sporting.
He also played for clubs such as Cheltenham Town and Newport County during the late 1990s.
Mark retired from active play in 2019 but has remained involved in veterans competitions.

He is now set to represent the England Veterans Over 50s team, with a potential appearance this weekend.
The announcement of his inclusion in the squad to face the Republic of Ireland in Cambridgeshire has been made.
In addition, England’s Over 60s will also be competing on Saturday, scheduled for a later kick-off.
The team stated: “England Veterans have confirmed their squads for a double-header of international football against the Republic of Ireland on Sunday, 1st November in Cambridgeshire.”

“The Over 50s match will commence at 2:15pm, followed by the Over 60s at 4:15pm at the Elite Football Complex in Cambridgeshire.”
This call-up marks the first time Bellingham Sr has been selected to represent the Three Lions.
He now has the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of his sons Jude and Jobe in playing for England.
Jude, 23, has established himself as a key player for the senior team under Thomas Tuchel and had an impressive performance at the World Cup earlier this year.
He has earned 60 caps for England to date, scoring 14 goals and providing 15 assists.
Remarkably, seven of those goals were scored during the World Cup, contributing to England’s third-place finish.
His younger brother, Jobe, 21, is actively playing for the Under-21s team and has captained them in his last 11 appearances.
