According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Bournemouth secured an impressive 2-0 victory over Leeds United at the Vitality Stadium, collecting all three points after an entertaining Premier League encounter.
Evanilson opened the scoring before Amine Adli confirmed the victory with a late goal in stoppage time, ensuring Bournemouth continued their positive run of performances.
Leeds initially believed they had taken the lead in the 11th minute through Dominic Calvert Lewin. The striker received an excellent pass inside the penalty area before calmly beating Djordje Petrovic. However, a VAR review ruled out the goal because of a handball during the build up.
The visitors continued to search for an opening goal, with Harry Wilson coming close shortly afterwards. His powerful attempt from outside the penalty area narrowly missed the target.
Bournemouth gradually settled into the contest and began creating opportunities of their own. Marcus Tavernier tested Leeds goalkeeper James Trafford with a well-struck effort in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper reacted quickly to make an important save. Ryan Christie also attempted to score from distance, although his effort was blocked by the Leeds defence.
Bournemouth eventually broke the deadlock through Evanilson in the 31st minute. A defensive error from Leeds allowed the Brazilian forward to find space inside the penalty area, where he showed composure to guide the ball into the net from close range.
After the restart, Leeds attempted to find an equaliser but struggled to create clear opportunities against Bournemouth's organised defence.
Tavernier forced another save from Trafford with a free kick in the 64th minute, while Rayan came close to doubling the hosts' advantage three minutes later with a first time effort that narrowly missed the target.
As the match approached its conclusion, Bournemouth introduced Eli Junior Kroupi and Amine Adli to strengthen their attacking options.
The Leeds pushed forward in search of an equaliser, but their hopes were ended in the 94th minute. Kroupi produced an excellent pass for Adli, who calmly placed the ball into the bottom left corner to make it 2-0.
The final whistle confirmed a deserved victory for Bournemouth, while Leeds were left frustrated after failing to take advantage of their opportunities.
