According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 31, 2026, Barcelona secured a convincing 6-1 victory over Alaves at the Spotify Camp Nou, with Lamine Yamal delivering an outstanding performance.

The young forward scored twice and provided an assist as Hansi Flick’s side dominated the encounter for long periods to claim a comfortable win.

Yamal made his presence felt from the opening stages with his impressive dribbling, movement and attacking runs, which caused constant problems for the Alaves defence. In the 23rd minute, he played a key role in Barcelona’s second goal.

The 19-year-old delivered an excellent long pass into the penalty area, allowing Fermin Lopez to control the ball before firing into the top-left corner of the net.

Yamal continued to trouble the visitors with his goalscoring ability and movement inside the box. He came close to adding another goal in the 35th minute, but Antonio Sivera produced an excellent save to deny his low effort. He also created an opportunity for Raphinha, whose powerful attempt narrowly went over the crossbar.

The Barcelona forward eventually got on the scoresheet just before half-time. In the 45th minute, he received a pass from Joao Cancelo and produced an excellent long-range effort that found the bottom-right corner to make it 4-0.

Yamal maintained his impressive display after the restart, continuing to threaten the Alaves defence. He almost scored again in the 49th minute following another brilliant solo run.

His persistence paid off in the 64th minute when he found the net again from inside the penalty area. The goal was reviewed by VAR and officially confirmed two minutes later.

After contributing to two goals and scoring another in the 74th minute, Yamal was substituted. Mariano Diaz scored a consolation goal for Alaves, while Anthony Gordon added Barcelona’s sixth goal.

Yamal emerged as Barcelona’s standout performer in the emphatic victory, thanks to his goalscoring ability, creativity and attacking contributions.
