Cole Palmer Hails Romeo Lavia After Outstanding Display ‘People Still Don’t Realise How Good He Is’

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer has delivered glowing praise for teammate Romeo Lavia, describing the midfielder’s performance as one of the best he has seen from him.

Palmer was particularly impressed with Lavia’s contribution, going as far as declaring him the best player on the pitch. The England international also reiterated his admiration for the Belgian midfielder, revealing that he has long considered him one of his favourite players in that position.

"Today was one of the best games I've seen him play. I've said all along he's one of my favourite midfielders. People still don't realise how good he is. Today, I thought he was the best player on pitch," Palmer said.

The comments underline the high regard in which Lavia is held by his Chelsea teammates, with Palmer highlighting the quality he believes the midfielder possesses.

Lavia has attracted attention for his technical ability and composure in midfield, qualities that make him an important option for Chelsea when available. Palmer's assessment also suggests that the Belgian's influence may not always receive the recognition it deserves outside the dressing room.

For Chelsea, having players who can dictate the tempo and provide control in midfield remains important as the club continues its pursuit of consistency. Lavia's performance clearly made a strong impression on Palmer, who believes the midfielder has the ability to be among the standout performers on the pitch.

The praise from one of Chelsea's key attacking players will be encouraging for Lavia as he looks to build momentum and establish himself as an influential figure in the team.
