Samkele Sihlali Fires Brace As Marumo Gallants Edge Siwelele 3-2

Marumo Gallants secured an important 3-2 victory over Siwelele FC in a thrilling Betway Premiership encounter at Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg on Friday, October 30, 2026.

The five-goal contest produced an entertaining sequence of attacking moments, with Samkele Sihlali playing a decisive role for Gallants by finding the net twice.

Gallants made an early statement when Sihlali opened the scoring in the seventh minute. His goal gave the home side an advantage, but Siwelele responded before the match reached the half-hour mark.

Raymond Makhuvele brought the visitors level in the 26th minute, with Manoke Felix Noge providing the assist. The equaliser gave Siwelele an opportunity to settle into the contest, but Gallants soon regained control of the scoreboard.

Ndabayithethwa Ndlondlo restored the home side’s lead in the 32nd minute. The midfielder finished off a move created by Saketso Steven Moremi, ensuring Gallants went into the interval ahead.

The hosts continued their attacking approach after the restart, and Sihlali struck again in the 49th minute. His second goal extended Gallants’ advantage to 3-1 and placed Siwelele under pressure to find another response.

The visitors were not finished, however. Maliele Pule reduced the deficit in the 55th minute, bringing the score to 3-2 and setting up a tense final period.

Despite Siwelele’s effort to get back on level terms, Gallants held on to protect their advantage and collect all three points.

Sihlali’s brace was central to the result, while Ndlondlo’s contribution also proved important in a match where Gallants needed more than one attacking threat to overcome their opponents.

For Siwelele, goals from Makhuvele and Pule showed their ability to respond after falling behind, but the two efforts were not enough to prevent defeat.

The result gives Marumo Gallants a valuable boost in their league campaign, while Siwelele will have to turn their attention to their next fixture as they look to recover from the narrow loss.
