To bolster their offensive options for the next season, Kaizer Chiefs have signed Elias Mokwana, an international for Bafana Bafana.

The 27-year-old winger's two-season tenure in North Africa is coming to a close, and he is returning to South African sport. As the Soweto giants are working to assemble a championship-caliber club, his addition could bolster the Amakhosi squad.

In the past, Mokwana gained fame in South Africa thanks to his excellent play with Sekhukhune United. Before teams from outside the nation took notice, he was one of the most entertaining attackers in the local league because to his speed, offensive movement, and knack for troublesome defenders.

The Bafana Bafana international took a major leap forward in his career in 2024 when he signed with Tunisian powerhouse Espérance Sportive de Tunis. He got to play football in a new setting and experience it outside of South Africa thanks to the move.

Now that he's back, there's a great chance for him to resurrect his career on home turf while taking on fresh challenges at one of the most prominent football teams in the nation.

In their pursuit of a more potent offensive weapon, Kaizer Chiefs might benefit from signing a player with international experience. With Mokwana's background and adaptability on the national and international stages, the technical squad may have more alternatives in wide attacking positions.

The winger's background in the Premier Soccer League also ensures that he won't need much time to adjust to the rigours and challenges of playing football in South Africa.

When he signs with the Chiefs, fans will be hoping he helps the team achieve its success with regular performances, goals, and assists.

Supporters who want to see Amakhosi regain their previous supremacy are likely to have high expectations, and Mokwana's signing only adds to that.

Everyone is watching to see how he settles into life at Naturena and makes an impression in the renowned black and gold colours, since his return to South Africa signifies a new chapter in his career.
