Rulani Mokwena Extends Winning Streak to 13 Matches at Pyramids FC

South African football coach Rulani Mokwena continues to make a strong impression in Egyptian football after guiding Pyramids FC to a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Wadi Degla on Thursday night, extending his reported winning streak to 13 consecutive matches across all competitions.

The latest victory represents another positive moment in Mokwena's coaching journey in Egypt, with the former Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates coach enjoying an impressive start at Pyramids FC. His winning run has attracted attention from South African football supporters, who are closely monitoring his progress at the ambitious Egyptian club.

Since taking charge of Pyramids FC, Mokwena has reportedly won all 13 of his matches, demonstrating remarkable consistency during the early stages of his tenure. Maintaining such a record is a significant achievement, particularly at a club with high expectations in domestic and continental competitions.

The victory over Wadi Degla also highlighted the team's ability to secure important results in challenging encounters. Although the match was closely contested, Pyramids FC managed to emerge victorious, allowing Mokwena to continue building momentum with his squad.

The South African tactician is known for his football philosophy, which emphasises possession, intelligent movement, attacking combinations and controlling matches through organised play. His ability to implement these principles will be crucial as Pyramids FC pursues its ambitions this season.

Mokwena previously established himself as one of South Africa's prominent coaches through his work at Mamelodi Sundowns, where he gained valuable experience competing for major domestic honours. His previous association with Orlando Pirates also contributed to his development in the Premier Soccer League.

His current success in Egypt provides another opportunity to demonstrate his coaching abilities beyond South African football.

For Pyramids FC, the priority will be maintaining this impressive form as the season progresses. Opponents will undoubtedly seek ways to disrupt the team's rhythm, presenting Mokwena with new tactical challenges.

Nevertheless, his reported 13-match winning streak has provided an encouraging foundation, and supporters will be eager to see whether he can extend the remarkable run.
