SEDIBENG.- Ben 10 FC and Young Pirates FC suffered home defeats in their ABC Motsepe League matches over the weekend.

Ben 10 FC suffered a 1-0 defeat to University of Johannesburg at President Park Stadium in Vereeniging on November 1 in a Stream A match.

Mike-1-Stars FC beat Young Pirates FC 2-0 in a Stream B fixture played at Sicelo Stadium in Meyerton on October 30.

These are unacceptable defeats for both teams, as they were playing at home.

Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, Ben 10 FC Coach Katleho Tau said he told his players it is important to win the home game.

“As you said, it is unacceptable for a team to lose their home games. We must make use of our home advantage. We will keep on fighting. It is too early to press panic buttons,” said Tau.

Ben 10 FC will be away to Lesco FC at Powerline Stadium on Saturday.

Kick-off time is 15:00.

Back to Young Pirates FC, it seems like a repeat of last season’s story when they started the season with an impressive performance, but a lack of consistency saw them drop on the log standings.

They were among the teams challenging the league title at one stage, but they let it go.

Now they find themselves seven positions down on the Stream B log. Young Pirates FC will play away against rock-bottom Leruma United in the ABC Motsepe League Stream B fixture at Sinaba Stadium on Saturday.
