Harry Kane has been crowned the 2026 Ballon d’Or winner after edging Kylian Mbappe by 28 points in the final vote, with France Football publishing the official totals.
The Bayern Munich centre-forward collected 1,055 points to take football’s leading individual honour, while Mbappe finished runner-up on 1,027.
Barcelona attacker Yamal secured third place, finishing 174 points behind Mbappe.
Manchester City’s Rodri placed fourth in the rankings with 726 points. Lionel Messi followed in fifth after receiving 612 points.
Paris Saint-Germain winger Kvaratskhelia finished ahead of club colleague Dembele in the final standings.
Kane’s success brings England’s 25-year absence from the men’s Ballon d’Or winners’ list to an end. Michael Owen had been the most recent English recipient, winning the prize in 2001.
