St Andrew’s College and Crawford International Sandton went head-to-head on October 24 in a competitive basketball clash at St David’s Marist Inanda, with the former emerging victorious.
St Andrew’s College head coach Kudakwashe Rukweza said he was pleased with the squad’s progress and match results.
“We’ve come a long way; we haven’t set up a team in a while, but from where we are now, we’re really happy with the results that we’re coming out with,” said Rukweza.
He added that the team was focused on finishing strongly, believing the experience would help them move forward.
Crawford International Sandton coach Masande Bentsile acknowledged his team’s effort but said stamina and the opposition’s performance had made the difference.
“We played well, but the stamina and the game were on their side,” said Bentsile.
Bentsile said the squad would need to work harder ahead of its next fixture to improve.
