Man Utd’s Nightmare Streak Exposed as Michael Carrick Sets Dismal 38-Year Record Following Heavy Chelsea Defeat and Faces Dismissal

MICHAEL CARRICK faced his third defeat in a row on Saturday, marking his NINTH consecutive game without a win as Manchester United’s manager.

This is the first occurrence of the club going nine matches without a victory in nearly 40 YEARS, increasing the scrutiny on the former midfielder.

Michael Carrick, Manager of Manchester United, reacts with his head in his hands on the bench during a match against Chelsea FC at Stamford Bridge.

His United team has become the first to go nine games without a win since 1988

The last time United secured a win was at the beginning of September.

It was a convincing 4-0 triumph against the underdogs Sabah in the Champions League.

Since that match, the situation has only worsened.

This dismal streak hasn’t been seen since 1988, when Sir Alex Ferguson was at the helm, starting with a defeat to a ten-man Manchester City at Old Trafford.

They followed up with a 2-0 lead against Brighton, only to collapse and lose 3-2, getting knocked out of the Carabao Cup—notably at the Theatre of Dreams.

Subsequent matches saw two draws in the Premier League, but a disappointing defeat against Atletico Madrid followed, where they lost 2-0 while down to ten men.

Another draw against Leeds preceded a humiliating 4-1 loss to the Como, and now the Red Devils have conceded a staggering FIVE goals against both Bournemouth and Chelsea.

Lisandro Martinez made headlines at Stamford Bridge on Saturday after conceding a penalty and receiving two yellow cards in quick succession, which left Carrick unimpressed.

During these nine matches, United has recorded six losses, three draws, scored six goals, and conceded a total of 18—averaging two goals against per game.

This week, Carrick was given another chance as the Red Devils opted to retain him despite their dreadful form.

Sources within the club indicated that Carrick would be granted the opportunity to redeem himself, even with the team sitting 16th in the table and winless in eight games.

With the streak now extended further after three consecutive defeats, it seems unlikely that the United legend will remain in his position much longer.
