Arsenal have received an encouraging injury boost, with winger Christos Tzolis reportedly closing in on a return to action after missing the club’s last four matches.
According to a report by Football London on Saturday, October 24, 2026, the summer signing could rejoin Mikel Arteta’s squad next week if his recovery continues to progress as expected.
Tzolis picked up the injury while representing Greece during the international break and has since been unavailable for Arsenal. The winger will also miss Saturday’s Premier League meeting with Everton.
However, Football London reporter Ryan Taylor suggests that the 24-year-old could return to the matchday squad when Arsenal travel to face Liverpool next weekend.
There is also a possibility that he could feature against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday, although such an appearance would depend on how well he progresses during the coming days.
Arsenal are unlikely to take unnecessary risks with his fitness, particularly after Bukayo Saka recently suffered an injury that has increased the team’s need for additional attacking options.
The Gunners are keen to ensure Tzolis makes a complete recovery before returning to competitive action rather than risk aggravating the problem.
Following the Everton encounter, Arsenal have four more fixtures before the next international break, giving the Greek winger several opportunities to regain his fitness and become involved again.
If he returns against Fleetwood Town or Liverpool, he could also be considered for the subsequent matches against Slavia Praha and Hull City.
His availability would be particularly important ahead of a demanding period after the international break, with Arsenal scheduled to travel to Newcastle United before hosting Borussia Dortmund.
The Gunners will then face Manchester City at home, followed by away fixtures against Brentford and Tottenham. A home meeting with Real Madrid will also add to their challenging schedule.
Tzolis’ return would give Arteta another attacking option and provide greater flexibility when managing his squad across domestic and European competitions.
However, Greece’s November international fixtures could create another concern for Arsenal if the winger returns to action shortly before the break.
The national team are scheduled to face the Netherlands away on November 13 before hosting Serbia three days later. Tzolis previously started every match during the September-October international period before suffering his latest injury.
Arsenal will therefore hope Greece carefully manage his involvement during the next international window to prevent another setback.
For Arteta, having Tzolis fully fit again could prove valuable as the Gunners prepare for a demanding run of fixtures in their pursuit of success this season.
