Manchester United Superstar Fit to Play Tomorrow After Injury Scare

According to a report by Manchesterevening News on Saturday October 24, 2026, Manchester United have received a timely boost ahead of their important Manchester derby against Manchester City, with forward Lea Schuller declared fit following an injury scare during last weekend’s victory over Liverpool.

Schuller appeared to hurt herself while celebrating her goal against Liverpool, raising concerns about her availability for the upcoming encounter. However, manager Eva Olid has now confirmed that the forward remains available for selection.

United Women enter the derby in impressive form, having secured six consecutive victories under Olid. Their consistent performances have strengthened confidence within the squad, although facing Manchester City represents a significantly tougher challenge for the in-form side.

Providing an update on her team’s fitness, Olid explained that there were no new injury developments beyond the players already recovering from longer-term problems. Her comments confirmed that Schuller would be available for selection against their local rivals.

“No updates, justjust the same long-term injuries we had,” Olid told Manchester United’s media team and reporters ahead of the highly anticipated fixture.

While Schuller’s availability provides Olid with another attacking option, several players remain unavailable as they continue their respective recovery programmes. Celin Bizet Donnum, Jayde Riviere and Emma Watson will all miss the important encounter because of ongoing injury problems.

Fridolina Rolfo will also be absent, with the winger preparing for motherhood after announcing her pregnancy in September. Her unavailability further limits Olid’s selection options as Manchester United prepare for their demanding clash against City.

Nevertheless, United Women can approach the derby with considerable confidence following their remarkable winning run. Their recent results demonstrate the progress made under Olid, although maintaining that momentum against Manchester City will require another disciplined performance.

A victory would provide more than local bragging rights, potentially helping Manchester United close the gap on their rivals in the Women’s Super League standings.

With Schuller available and several other talented players ready to contribute, Olid’s side will hope to extend their winning streak and deliver another important result in this crucial Manchester derby.
