Forest 3-1 Man City: Comparing Arsenal’s Next Five EPL Matches to Man City’s After Today’s Results

According to a report by Sky Sports on November 7, 2026, Arsenal strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League table after beating Hull City 1-0, while Manchester City suffered a damaging 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest. Following the contrasting results, attention has turned to the next five Premier League fixtures facing both title rivals as the race for the championship continues.

Mikel Arteta's Arsenal currently sit top of the standings with 27 points from 10 matches, opening a six-point advantage over Manchester City, who remain on 21 points after suffering their third consecutive league defeat.

Arsenal will now face a challenging run of fixtures, beginning with an away trip to Newcastle United on November 21. The Gunners will then return home to welcome Manchester City on November 29 in what could become a crucial encounter in the title race.

After the meeting with Guardiola's side, Arsenal will travel to face Brentford on December 2 before another difficult away fixture against Tottenham Hotspur on December 6. Their fifth upcoming league match will be against Bournemouth at the Emirates Stadium on December 13.

Meanwhile, Manchester City also have an important schedule ahead as they attempt to recover from their disappointing defeat against Nottingham Forest.

Guardiola's side will begin their next five matches with a home encounter against Fulham on November 21 before travelling to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal eight days later.

City will then welcome Leeds United on December 2 before travelling to face Brentford on December 5. Their fifth fixture will be against Chelsea at the Etihad Stadium on December 12.

The meeting between Arsenal and Manchester City stands out as the biggest fixture in both clubs' upcoming schedules. With Arsenal currently six points ahead, another defeat for City could make their attempts to catch the league leaders considerably more difficult.

However, Guardiola's side will have an opportunity to reduce the deficit if they manage to secure victory in north London.

Both teams also face challenging away fixtures, with Arsenal travelling to Newcastle, Brentford and Tottenham, while City must visit Arsenal and Brentford.
