According to a report by Sky Sports on November 7, 2026, Arsenal strengthened their position at the top of the Premier League table after securing a narrow 1-0 victory over Hull City, while Manchester City suffered a disappointing 3-1 defeat against Nottingham Forest.
The two results have provided another major twist in the Premier League title race, with Mikel Arteta’s side taking advantage of City’s latest setback to increase their advantage at the summit.
Arsenal welcomed Hull City to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday afternoon, knowing that three points would strengthen their position in the title race.
The Gunners eventually secured the victory through Martin Ødegaard, who scored the decisive goal in the 72nd minute.

The victory took Arsenal to 27 points from their opening 10 Premier League matches, giving them a six-point advantage over Manchester City.
Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City suffered another setback after travelling to face Nottingham Forest.
Forest produced an impressive performance to claim a memorable 3-1 victory, with Jair Cunha and Liam Delap putting the hosts in control before Rayan Cherki briefly gave City hope.
