According to a report by Madrid Universal on Friday October 23, 2026, Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni has spoken on reports of his alleged dressing-room clash with Federico Valverde, stating that the situation was exaggerated and both players are still on good terms.
The situation began to occur last year after internal disagreements among Real Madrid players and the coaching staff concerning possible problems in the dressing room.
The bad press started after rumors of a violent fight occurred between the two midfielders, and it was said that the situation affected both players and could damage their relationships inside Real Madrid.
Now, Tchouameni has denied the allegations that a disagreement turned into a violent fight and cleared the air between Valverde and him. “I think people talk too much. There wasn’t a fight between Valverde and me. Sometimes things can happen in the dressing room, but we didn’t confront each other,” Tchouameni said.
Aurelien added that there may have been some sarcastic remarks and discomfort, but he categorically rejected the rumors of a physical confrontation with Valverde.
The French midfielder recalled that unfortunately, something unpleasant happened between him and the Uruguay international, and he considers that the press exaggerated the situation because any conflict of this type automatically receives more coverage.
“It’s true that something unpleasant happened, but it’s that we are talking about Real Madrid, so it always seems like a bigger problem than it is,” he said.
Additionally, Tchouameni confessed that friends and relatives have called him after seeing the news to tell me that everything is fine.
Aurelien also claimed that both players remained on good terms and there is no conflict of any kind, whether private or professional, between Valverde and him. “If today you go into the changing room, as Mourinho would say, you see that Valverde and I are fine. There isn’t a conflict of any kind,” Tchouameni said.
He recognized that conflicts can happen in the changing room of Real Madrid, but he and Valverde have moved on and continue to do their job without worrying about what happened.
