Barcelona target El Clasico sales record as Lamine Yamal leads shirt demand

Barcelona are anticipating a record-breaking day of merchandise sales when they welcome Real Madrid for Sunday’s El Clasico, with Lamine Yamal reportedly leading the demand for the club’s shirts.

According to a report by Barca Universal on Saturday, October 24, 2026, the Catalan giants are hopeful that sales at their official store at the Spotify Camp Nou will exceed the existing single-day record of approximately €750,000.

That record was established during last season’s meeting with Real Madrid, when Barcelona wore a special-edition shirt featuring a collaboration with singer Olivia Rodrigo through the club’s partnership with Spotify.

However, expectations are even higher for Sunday’s encounter, with Barcelona’s popularity and the introduction of an exclusive matchday collection expected to attract significant interest from supporters.

The club are already preparing for substantial financial returns from the fixture, with ticket revenue projected to surpass the €16.4 million generated by last season’s corresponding meeting. Barcelona now hope merchandise sales will deliver another commercial achievement.

Recent figures have further strengthened their confidence. The official store reportedly generated more than €600,000 during Barcelona’s recent La Liga fixture against Getafe, suggesting that demand for club merchandise remains particularly strong.

Another attraction is a special collection featuring GOLF branding, associated with American rapper and designer Tyler, The Creator. The collaboration, selected by Spotify, has added another selling point to Barcelona’s El Clasico merchandise.

Meanwhile, Yamal remains the club’s most popular player when it comes to shirt sales, comfortably ahead of his teammates, according to the report.

Pedri and captain Raphinha are also among the leading choices for supporters, while young defender Pau Cubarsí continues to enjoy considerable demand.

Among Barcelona’s new arrivals, Rodri is reportedly the biggest shirt-selling name. Fermín López has also experienced increased demand, bringing him closer to Gavi in terms of popularity.

Former striker Robert Lewandowski continues to attract shirt requests, particularly from supporters in Poland, despite his reported summer transfer to Chicago Fire.

The figures demonstrate how Yamal’s influence extends beyond his performances on the pitch. His growing popularity has made him one of Barcelona’s biggest commercial assets, with his name expected to feature prominently among supporters ahead of Sunday’s blockbuster encounter.
