Real Madrid defender not thinking about leaving the club despite exit links

According to a report by Madrid Universal on Saturday October 24, 2026, Trent Alexander-Arnold is not considering leaving Real Madrid despite growing speculation linking him with a move away from the Santiago Bernabéu.

The England international joined the Spanish giants on a free transfer from Liverpool but has endured a difficult spell due to injuries and limited playing time.

According to reports, people close to Alexander-Arnold have dismissed suggestions that the defender is unhappy at Real Madrid. Instead, he is reportedly determined to fight for his place in the starting lineup.

The 27-year-old has struggled to establish himself under manager José Mourinho, having reportedly played around 350 minutes of competitive football this season.

His limited involvement has fuelled speculation that Real Madrid could consider selling him, with Chelsea among the clubs reportedly interested in his services.

However, Alexander-Arnold is said to remain committed to proving his worth at the Spanish club, where he signed a six-year contract after leaving Liverpool.

Mourinho now faces the challenge of finding the best way to utilise the defender's qualities. The Portuguese manager has preferred Federico Valverde at right-back in recent matches, while Alexander-Arnold has also been tested in midfield.

Despite his difficulties, the former Liverpool star possesses considerable passing ability and creativity, qualities Real Madrid could benefit from if he finds his best form.

With El Clasico against Barcelona approaching, attention will be on whether Mourinho gives the Englishman an opportunity to demonstrate his abilities.

For now, Alexander-Arnold appears determined to fight for his future at Real Madrid rather than seek an immediate exit, although his playing time could remain a major talking point as the season progresses.
