According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, November 7, 2026, Real Madrid secured an emphatic 3-0 away victory over Valencia after delivering an impressive display characterised by attacking brilliance, controlled possession and defensive discipline.
The home side initially showed attacking intent, with Aaron Mayol testing Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois with a powerful strike in the 19th minute. Valencia had also been denied an earlier goal after the referee's decision to rule out their effort for offside.
Madrid gradually settled into the contest and began dictating the tempo with their superior possession and attacking movement. Mbappe saw one of his attempts blocked, while Valverde had an earlier effort ruled out for offside before eventually finding the breakthrough.
The Uruguayan midfielder gave Madrid the lead in the 28th minute, reacting sharply to a rebound before sending a precise low shot into the bottom-left corner.
Eight minutes later, Arda Guler extended the visitors' advantage with an excellent finish. The youngster met a well-delivered cross and directed the ball beyond Dimitrievski, placing it inside the right post to make it 2-0.
Madrid continued to dominate proceedings in the second half, creating further chances through Mbappe and Jude Bellingham. However, Valencia goalkeeper Dimitrievski made several important interventions to keep his team in the contest.
At the other end, Danjuma came close to reducing the deficit with a dangerous attempt towards the bottom-right corner, but Courtois produced an excellent save to maintain Madrid's two-goal lead.
The visitors eventually put the result beyond doubt in the 75th minute. Guler demonstrated his creativity by delivering a perfectly timed pass to Mbappe, who calmly lifted the ball over the advancing goalkeeper to register Madrid's third goal.
Valencia's hopes of mounting a comeback suffered another blow in the 79th minute when Jose Gaya was dismissed with a straight red card following a dangerous challenge, leaving his teammates with ten men.
With their opponents reduced to ten players, Madrid comfortably controlled the closing stages and preserved their three-goal advantage until the final whistle.
The victory was secured through goals from Valverde, Guler and Mbappe, while Guler stood out as one of the key performers after contributing significantly to Madrid's attacking success.
