According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, November 7, 2026, Fulham came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United in their Premier League encounter at Craven Cottage.
The Cottagers rescued a point after Rodrigo Muniz cancelled out Jacob Murphy's second-half opener, extending their impressive recent run to just one defeat in their last seven league matches.
Fulham started the contest positively and created an opportunity through Oscar Bobb, whose curling effort was kept out by goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek.
The hosts threatened again from the resulting corner when Gonzalo Garcia connected with a header that narrowly cleared the crossbar.
Newcastle gradually found their rhythm and almost took the lead when Harvey Barnes connected with a low delivery from Jacob Murphy. However, Bernd Leno produced an important save with his outstretched leg to deny the winger.
The visitors thought they had broken the deadlock through Dan Burn, who turned the ball into the net following a corner. However, the goal was disallowed after the referee identified an off-the-ball foul during the build-up.
Fulham continued to create problems for Newcastle, with Josh King forcing another save from Hornicek through a powerful volley shortly before half-time.
Both teams returned for the second period with the search for an opening goal continuing. Barnes had another opportunity for Newcastle but curled his effort wide, while Sander Berge came close at the other end with a low strike that narrowly missed the target.
Newcastle eventually made their pressure count when Murphy produced an impressive individual effort to put the visitors ahead.
The winger faced Alex Iwobi before creating enough space to unleash a powerful shot that beat Leno and found the back of the net. However, Fulham responded almost immediately and restored parity just three minutes after falling behind.
Substitute Rodrigo Muniz took advantage of a deflected pass from Cesar Palacios before improvising inside the penalty area to direct his effort into the net, with the ball taking a deflection off Burn on its way past Hornicek. The equaliser brought renewed energy to the home side, while Newcastle were forced to search for another breakthrough.
Lewis Hall had an opportunity to restore the visitors' advantage late in the encounter, but his tame side-footed effort was comfortably collected by Leno. Neither team could find a winning goal as the contest ended in a 1-1 draw.
The result leaves Fulham with only one defeat in their last seven Premier League matches, while Newcastle have collected just four points from their previous five league outings.
