According to a report from FootballTransfers, on Saturday November 07, 2026, Como sporting director Carlalberto Ludi has addressed growing speculation linking Nico Paz with Real Madrid and Arsenal, insisting the Argentine midfielder remains fully committed to the Serie A club.
Paz has attracted attention with a series of strong performances. His latest standout display came on Wednesday, when Como beat Lens 9–1 in France. The result has further fuelled talk that elite European clubs could pursue the 22-year-old.
Speaking to Radio Radio, Ludi said Como are accustomed to recurring rumours about Real Madrid reclaiming players connected to the Spanish club. He acknowledged that managing the situation around Paz would require careful planning, but stressed that the player currently belongs to Como.
Real Madrid reportedly hold a buy-back option for Paz, which could become available in the summer of 2027.
The clause gives the Spanish side a route to bring him back, despite Como having secured his rights in a club-record agreement. Ludi described the arrangement as part of a positive relationship between the clubs.
“We made a good deal last summer,” he said. “Nico Paz is 100% a Como player. If he leaves, it would be a sale that recognises our work and would be important for the club.”
For now, Ludi said, Como intend to enjoy having Paz in the team and will address any future developments when necessary. The midfielder previously declined an opportunity to return to Real Madrid, reportedly concerned that he might not receive regular playing time.
A similar decision could arise again, with competition for places at the Bernabéu likely to influence his next move.
