FKF Premier League outfit Nairobi United has officially finalized the high-profile acquisition of Kenya national team attacking midfielder Mohammed Bajaber.

The 23-year-old playmaker, popularly known as "Starboy," joins The Naibois as a free agent to bolster their technical ranks for the ongoing top-flight campaign.

The transfer marks Bajaber’s return to domestic football following the mutual termination of his contract with Tanzanian powerhouses Simba SC in July. Despite an injury-interrupted spell in Dar es Salaam that limited his overall match action, the midfielder displayed remarkable clinical efficiency by scoring on both his Tanzanian Ligi Kuu Bara and domestic cup debuts, eventually lifting the 2025 Tanzanian Community Shield and the 2025/26 Federation Cup.

Nairobi United officially unveiled the midfielder, expressing confidence that his international exposure and creative qualities will enhance their offensive output. Club officials welcomed the playmaker home, emphasizing his capacity to deliver crucial goals, decisive assists, and final-third composure. The acquisition follows closely on the heels of defender Alphonce Omija’s arrival, underlining the club's aggressive recruitment strategy to challenge for major honors.

Developed at Parklands-based Starfield Academy, Bajaber previously earned a trial with Danish Superliga side FC Midtjylland in 2021 before making 63 appearances and scoring 11 goals for Nairobi City Stars. He later transferred to Kenya Police FC, where his seven-goal contribution helped secure the 2024/25 FKF Premier League championship.

At the international level, Bajaber has earned nine senior caps and netted three goals for the Harambee Stars . His international account includes a spectacular curling debut volley against The Gambia in a March 2025 World Cup qualifier and a brace against Lesotho in June 2026.
