Shabana FC have slipped to 10th place in the FKF Premier League standings after suffering their first defeat of the 2026/27 campaign, losing 1-0 to Kenya Police FC at Afraha Stadium on Monday.
Brian Chonjo Otieno scored the decisive goal in the 13th minute to hand Police all three points and end Shabana's unbeaten start to the season.
The result leaves the Glamour Boys with six points from five matches, having recorded one victory, three draws and one defeat.
Their goal difference remains unchanged at zero, with five goals scored and five conceded.
Shabana began the campaign with a 1-0 victory over Posta Rangers before drawing against Nairobi United, AFC Leopards and Migori Youth FC.
However, Monday's loss extended their winless run to four matches.
The defeat also leaves them four points behind league leaders Gor Mahia, who have collected 12 points from five matches.
Second-placed KCB have 10 points, while AFC Leopards occupy third position with nine.
Shabana are level on points with Mara Sugar, Tusker, APS Bomet and Migori Youth, although some of those sides have played fewer matches.
Their 10th-place position highlights the tight competition in the middle of the table.
Against Kenya Police, Shabana enjoyed 67 per cent possession but struggled to turn their dominance into goalscoring opportunities.
They managed just two shots on target compared with Police's seven from 15 attempts.
Brian Michira came close to scoring, while James Mazembe also helped create an opportunity in the second half, but Police's defence held firm.
Shabana will now look to end their winless run and climb the standings as the league campaign continues.
