Changes in UEFA Champions League Table After Tuesday's Results

Paris Saint-Germain continued their impressive run in the UEFA Champions League, maintaining their position at the top of the league-phase standings after Tuesday's fixtures. Meanwhile, Barcelona climbed into second place following a convincing 3-0 victory over Aston Villa.

PSG remain the only team with a perfect record among the clubs that have played four matches, collecting a maximum of 12 points from four consecutive victories.

The French champions further demonstrated their dominance with a commanding 6-0 triumph over Villarreal. The result improved their goal difference to +15 after scoring 20 goals and conceding just five.

Barcelona also enjoyed an important victory, defeating Aston Villa 3-0 to strengthen their chances of finishing among the top eight teams. The Spanish giants moved to nine points, level with Villa, but secured second place thanks to their superior goal difference of +8.

Aston Villa dropped to third after suffering their first defeat of the competition, having previously won all three of their opening matches.

Sporting CP also continued their positive campaign, moving into sixth place with nine points after securing a narrow 1-0 win against Shakhtar Donetsk.

Bayern Munich climbed into eighth position with eight points following a 2-0 victory over Atletico Madrid, giving the German giants an important boost in their qualification campaign.

Elsewhere, Inter Milan moved to 14th after beating Feyenoord 3-0, while LASK climbed to 15th following an emphatic 4-0 victory over Slovan Bratislava.

Manchester United also improved their standing after edging Roma 3-2. Michael Carrick's men moved to 17th place with six points, level with Inter, LASK and Galatasaray.

At the bottom of the table, Villarreal slipped to 29th after recording their third defeat, while Feyenoord remained 30th with three points. Lille occupied 34th place with one point, as Slovan Bratislava stayed bottom without a point after four matches.

With several fixtures still to come, the competition for automatic qualification and playoff positions is expected to intensify.
