According to a report by Football London on Saturday, October 31, 2026, former Chelsea striker Daniel Sturridge has tipped Estevao Willian and Josh Acheampong to reach the highest level following their impressive performances in Chelsea’s 2-0 Premier League victory over Manchester United.

Sturridge praised both youngsters on social media after Chelsea secured the victory at Stamford Bridge, highlighting their potential to become important players in the future.

Estevao delivered an impressive performance after receiving his first Premier League start of the season under manager Xabi Alonso.

The Brazilian winger repeatedly troubled Manchester United’s defence with his pace, dribbling ability and attacking movement. Although two of his goals were ruled out for offside, the 19-year-old showed why Chelsea supporters have been calling for him to receive more playing time.

Sturridge believes Estevao could make an even greater contribution if Alonso continues to give him regular opportunities in the first team.

The former England international also praised Acheampong’s performance against United, backing the young defender to enjoy a successful career.

Acheampong has become an increasingly important member of Alonso’s squad this season, having started nine of Chelsea’s 12 matches across all competitions.

The 20-year-old played at right-back against Manchester United, impressing with his defensive contributions and ability to move the ball forward.

Sturridge was particularly impressed by his potential, describing him as a player capable of reaching elite level.

Acheampong’s growing influence is notable given that his natural position is centre-back, with his ability to operate in different defensive roles highlighting his versatility and importance to the team.

Chelsea’s victory also featured strong performances from Morgan Rogers, Romeo Lavia and goalkeeper Mike Penders, who made an important save to preserve his clean sheet.

However, Sturridge’s recognition of Estevao and Acheampong further highlights the young talent emerging at Stamford Bridge.

With Alonso focused on building a competitive squad for the future, both youngsters could play important roles if they continue to develop and earn regular opportunities in the first team.
