Cole Palmer has reached another significant milestone in his Chelsea career after registering his 50th Premier League goal during the club's 2-0 victory over Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. The England international achieved the landmark in just 105 appearances, underlining his remarkable impact since arriving in west London.
According to a report by Football London on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, Palmer has become the third-fastest player in Chelsea's history to score 50 goals in the Premier League. Only Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Diego Costa reached the achievement in fewer matches, requiring 84 and 85 appearances respectively.
Palmer's record is particularly impressive when compared with several celebrated figures who previously represented Chelsea in attacking positions. Former captain Frank Lampard needed 184 Premier League appearances to score his first 50 goals for the club, while Eden Hazard reached the same total after 155 matches.
Since completing his move from Manchester City in 2023, Palmer has developed into Chelsea's leading goalscorer and one of the team's most influential players. His consistency in front of goal has helped establish him as a central figure at Stamford Bridge, while his latest achievement has provided another opportunity to reflect on some outstanding moments in his career.
One of his most memorable performances came during Chelsea's 6-0 demolition of Everton in April 2024. Palmer scored four times, completing his hat-trick before the interval with an excellent chip over goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. He then added another goal after the break to complete an extraordinary individual display.
His contribution against Tottenham in December 2024 also remains among his most memorable performances. Chelsea were trailing 2-0 before producing an impressive comeback to win 4-3. Palmer played an important role in the turnaround and confidently converted a Panenka penalty past Guglielmo Vicario, demonstrating his composure under pressure.
Another outstanding effort came against Aston Villa later that month. Operating from the right, Palmer moved inside before producing a beautifully placed curling shot into the top corner. The goal helped complete Chelsea's 3-0 victory and showcased the technical quality that has made him such a dangerous attacking player.
Palmer also delivered a decisive performance on the international stage at club level during the 2025 Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain. He scored twice as Chelsea secured a convincing 3-0 victory. His second strike was particularly impressive, as he cut inside before calmly guiding the ball into the bottom corner.
However, his remarkable free-kick against Brighton in September 2024 remains the standout moment in the collection. Palmer became the first player to score four goals in the first half of a Premier League match, completing his hat-trick with a superb long-range free-kick from approximately 25 yards.
Reaching 50 Premier League goals in only 105 appearances places Palmer among Chelsea's most productive attacking players. With his influence continuing to grow, the milestone further demonstrates the importance he has established within the team since joining from Manchester City.
