2026/27 Ghana Premier League: Week 8 Match Preview - Bechem United vs Debibi United

Bechem United will look to return to winning ways when they host Debibi United at the Bechem Park on Saturday, October 24, in the Ghana Premier League.

The Hunters head into the Matchday fixture hoping to recover from last Sunday's defeat to Basake Holy Stars, while Debibi United arrive in Bechem with renewed confidence after securing a victory over Bibiani Gold Stars.

Bechem United will be keen to make home advantage count as they seek to strengthen their position in the league standings. They currently sit eighth with 10 points from six matches, having recorded three wins, one draw and two defeats.

The Hunters have scored eight goals and conceded the same number, averaging 1.33 goals scored and conceded per game. However, their defensive record remains a concern, with the team having failed to keep a clean sheet in their last three matches.

Head coach and his technical team will therefore be looking for greater defensive solidity while ensuring their attacking players make the most of the chances created.

Debibi United, meanwhile, will be hoping to build on their recent victory over Bibiani Gold Stars as they attempt to move away from the relegation zone. They occupy 17th place with four points from six matches, having won once, drawn once and lost four times.

The visitors have scored six goals and conceded nine so far this season, averaging one goal scored and 1.5 conceded per game. Their defensive struggles have also been evident away from home, where they have conceded in each of their last three matches.

Despite their difficult start to the campaign, Debibi United will view Saturday's encounter as an opportunity to collect valuable points and build on their latest result.

Bechem United's stronger start to the season gives them an advantage on paper, but their recent defensive shortcomings could offer the visitors encouragement. Debibi United will need to remain organised at the back and take their chances if they are to trouble the hosts.

With both sides having defensive issues to address, the encounter could come down to which team is more clinical in front of goal.

Bechem United will be determined to secure all three points in front of their home supporters, while Debibi United will be eager to continue their recovery and improve their position in the standings.
