Medeama SC head coach Ibrahim Tanko says his team will do everything possible to secure victory against Aduana FC when the sides meet in Sunday’s Ghana Premier League encounter at the T&A Park.
The defending champions are eager to return to winning ways after suffering a narrow 2-1 defeat to FC Samartex last weekend, their first loss of the 2026/27 campaign.
With the title race already taking shape, Tanko believes his side must take advantage of playing at home to collect all three points against an Aduana team that has also enjoyed a strong start to the season.
“Like I always say, we are playing at home, and we want to control the game and keep the points here. So, we are doing everything possible to achieve that,” Tanko said.
The Mauve and Yellow sit third on 14 points after seven matches, level with Samartex and Hearts of Oak. They have scored 13 goals, the highest tally in the division.
Aduana travel to Tarkwa in fourth place with 13 points, having revived their campaign with a 1-0 victory over AshantiGold in their previous match.
Sunday’s clash offers Medeama an immediate opportunity to bounce back from their defeat and strengthen their position in a closely contested title race.
With only one point separating the sides, a home victory would give Tanko’s team an important boost as the league enters Round 8.
