French-Ghanaian forward Godson Kyeremeh registered an assist but could not prevent Red Star FC from suffering a 4-1 defeat against Nancy in the French Ligue 2.
Kyeremeh set up Red Star's only goal in the 30th minute, helping the hosts restore parity after falling behind early in the encounter at Stade Bauer.
Nancy opened the scoring in the 21st minute through Ilyes Housni, who capitalised on an assist from goalkeeper Enzo Basilio to put the visitors ahead.
Red Star responded nine minutes later when Kyeremeh provided a clever assist for Théo Magnin, who finished to make it 1-1.
However, Nancy regained the lead in stoppage time of the first half through Nehemiah Fernandez, who converted Jérémy Gélin's assist to give the visitors a 2-1 advantage at the break.
Gélin extended Nancy's lead in the 61st minute before El Hadary Raheriniaina completed the scoring in the 86th minute following Housni's assist.
Kyeremeh was substituted in the 64th minute after an encouraging performance.
The assist was his first in seven Ligue 2 appearances this season, taking his overall contribution to one assist as he continues his campaign with the French outfit.
