Bafana Bafana Superstar Handed to Chief for Free in Unbelievable Transfer Shock

Kaizer Chiefs Handed Chance to Sign Bafana Bafana Winger Elias Mokwana for Free

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly been presented with an opportunity to sign Bafana Bafana winger Elias Mokwana following his departure from Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis, potentially giving Amakhosi another option as they look to strengthen their attacking department.

According to SABC Sport journalist Mazola Molefe, Mokwana has been offered to the Soweto giants after becoming a free agent. The development could attract the attention of the Chiefs technical team, particularly as head coach Fernando Da Cruz continues to assess the options available to him.

Mokwana's availability presents an interesting opportunity for Amakhosi because they would not need to negotiate a transfer fee with another club. However, any potential move would still depend on whether Chiefs are interested in securing his services and can agree on personal terms with the player.

Molefe explained that the winger could be signed without a transfer fee, leaving negotiations over personal terms as a key consideration should Chiefs decide to pursue the opportunity.

"Free agent, no transfer fees, just personal terms. Chiefs can lock this one in if they want to," Molefe reported.

The latest development comes after Mokwana's proposed move to Moroccan giants Wydad Athletic Club reportedly collapsed over registration complications. The setback has left the South African international needing to consider alternative options as he looks to determine the next chapter of his career.

Chiefs could emerge as a potential destination, especially considering their previous interest in the player before he moved to Tunisia from Sekhukhune United in 2024.

Mokwana established himself as an exciting attacking player during his time in the Premier Soccer League, attracting attention through his pace, direct running and ability to create opportunities in wide areas.

His experience abroad has also exposed him to different footballing environments, potentially making him an appealing option for a Chiefs side seeking greater attacking variety.

For Da Cruz, adding another winger could provide more flexibility when selecting his starting line-up and making tactical adjustments during matches. Competition for attacking positions could also help the squad maintain performance levels throughout the campaign.

Nevertheless, being offered to Chiefs does not automatically mean a deal will happen. The club must first decide whether Mokwana fits its current recruitment plans and whether his arrival would address the team's immediate needs.

As things stand, there has been no confirmed announcement that Amakhosi have agreed a deal with the player.

Chiefs supporters will therefore be watching developments closely as speculation surrounding Mokwana's future continues. Whether the Soweto giants make a formal move remains to be seen, but his availability has placed an intriguing possibility before the club.
