Richards Bay head coach Dimitar Pantev has praised striker Nqaba Xulu's quality, expressing confidence that the forward has the potential to compete at a higher level if he continues developing.

Despite facing uncertainty over his own future at the club, Pantev has taken time to highlight Xulu's performances and the qualities that have impressed him.

The Bulgarian tactician believes the striker possesses the talent needed to progress in his football career, suggesting that his potential could eventually take him beyond his current level.

Speaking about Xulu, Pantev made it clear that he had already discussed the player's abilities and believes there is plenty more to come from him.

"I already talked about this guy. He has really high quality. And if he continues like that, I think that his future is moving too good. He can play on the higher stage," Pantev said, as quoted by iDiski Times.

The Richards Bay coach also stressed the importance of keeping the striker fit, admitting that injuries could interrupt his progress.

"So, I cross fingers for him to be fit without injuries," he added.

Pantev's comments underline the confidence he has in Xulu, particularly regarding the striker's ability to make an impact in the attacking department.

For Richards Bay, maintaining the forward's fitness could prove important as they look to improve their performances and climb the Betway Premiership standings.

Xulu's ability to continue finding the back of the net will also be crucial to the club's ambitions this season.

Meanwhile, Pantev's own position has come under scrutiny, with reports suggesting that Richards Bay are considering parting ways with the coach after a difficult start to his tenure.

The club is reportedly expected to hold discussions with the Bulgarian tactician about his future.

While uncertainty surrounds the coaching situation, Pantev has made his admiration for Xulu clear, believing the striker has the quality to reach greater heights if he stays fit and maintains his current progress.
