The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has confirmed the arrangements for the 2026 Carling Knockout Cup quarter-finals. Eight clubs are still in the race: Orlando Pirates, Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, AmaZulu, Stellenbosch FC, Sekhukhune United, Golden Arrows and Siwelele FC. All of them are chasing a place in the semi-finals.
The schedule has one change. The match between Sundowns and Golden Arrows was set to be played earlier than the other fixtures, on Tuesday, 3 November 2026, at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria. Kick-off was 19:00. Sundowns had home advantage, but Golden Arrows have already shown this season that they can cause the Brazilians problems.
The other three quarter-finals involve some of the biggest names in the local game. Kaizer Chiefs will host Siwelele FC. Amakhosi reached the last eight with a 3-0 win over TS Galaxy, in which Wandile Duba scored a hat-trick. Defending champions Orlando Pirates will take on Sekhukhune United as they try to keep their trophy defence going. Stellenbosch FC will meet AmaZulu, who come into the match with good form under head coach Arthur Zwane.
The local government elections have affected the football calendar, and several league matches have been postponed. That has left room for the cup competition to take the spotlight. Sundowns also have a continental game coming up, a CAF Super Cup match against USM Alger on 7 November.
The semi-finals are set for 21 and 22 November, and the final will be played on 12 December 2026. Pirates will want to hold on to their title, Chiefs will look to build on their recent run, and Sundowns will want another domestic trophy. For AmaZulu, Stellenbosch, Sekhukhune, Siwelele and Golden Arrows, the knockout format offers a chance to upset the bigger sides.
Supporters should wait for the PSL's final confirmation of the remaining match details before making travel or ticket plans.
