Golden Arrows have parted ways with head coach Pitso Dladla and appointed experienced tactician Mandla Ncikazi as his replacement in a major coaching shake-up at the Durban-based Betway Premiership club.

The changes were announced on Thursday afternoon following growing speculation surrounding Ncikazi's future at Orlando Pirates, where he had reportedly requested to leave in pursuit of another coaching opportunity. His return to Arrows had been widely anticipated amid reports that the club was considering making changes to its technical team.

Dladla's departure comes after Golden Arrows' management reportedly became concerned about the team's declining performances. The club ultimately decided to end his tenure with immediate effect as it looks to improve its results and regain momentum in the league.

In its official statement, Arrows confirmed that both parties had agreed to part ways. The club also expressed appreciation for Dladla's commitment, dedication and contribution during his time in charge, wishing him well in his future endeavours.

Shortly after announcing Dladla's departure, the club confirmed Ncikazi's return for a second spell as head coach. The experienced tactician is familiar with the club's environment and understands its culture, traditions and expectations.

Golden Arrows will be hoping that Ncikazi's experience and knowledge of the South African football landscape can help stabilise the team and improve its performances in the Betway Premiership. His appointment also represents an opportunity to rebuild confidence among supporters who will be eager to see the club produce more consistent results.

Welcoming the coach back, Arrows called on its supporters to unite behind him as he begins his new assignment. The club concluded its message with the words, "Siyakwamukela ekhaya, Mqeqeshi," meaning "Welcome home, Coach."

Attention will now turn to Ncikazi's immediate priorities, including strengthening the team's performances and ensuring that Golden Arrows compete more consistently.

Supporters will be watching closely to see whether his return can deliver the improvement the club's management expects.
