Kaizer Chiefs Coaching Shake-Up Fernando da Cruz Exit Rumours Emerge as Mandla Ncikazi Is Linked to Naturena

Speculation grows over a potential technical-team shake-up at Kaizer Chiefs, with Fernando da Cruz reportedly facing an uncertain future and Mandla Ncikazi emerging as a possible candidate.

Kaizer Chiefs have once again found themselves at the centre of transfer and coaching speculation following reports suggesting a possible change in the club’s technical team.

A report published by Sports with Daily News on 24 October 2026 has raised questions about the future of Fernando da Cruz, with Orlando Pirates assistant coach Mandla Ncikazi reportedly linked with a sensational move to Naturena.

The claims have generated intrigue among Amakhosi supporters, who are eager to see the club establish consistency and compete for major honours after several seasons of rebuilding.

However, the reported coaching development should be treated with caution, as the available information does not independently confirm that da Cruz has been dismissed or that Chiefs have reached an agreement with Ncikazi.

Da Cruz has been associated with Chiefs' technical setup as the club continues to pursue a more competitive and sustainable football project.

Any potential change in the coaching department would represent a significant decision for the Soweto giants, particularly as they seek to build a squad capable of challenging established rivals such as Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates.

Supporters will naturally want clarity regarding the club's long-term plans, especially if uncertainty surrounding the technical team threatens to disrupt preparations and player development.

Nevertheless, rumours of a coaching departure do not necessarily mean that a decision has been taken. An official announcement from the club would be needed to establish whether da Cruz's position has changed.

Ncikazi's reported links to Chiefs have added another intriguing dimension to the story.

The coach has experience in South African football and has been associated with Orlando Pirates, making the prospect of a move across the Soweto divide particularly attention-grabbing.

A potential appointment at Naturena would undoubtedly attract considerable attention given the rivalry between Chiefs and Pirates. It would also raise questions about the direction the Amakhosi hierarchy intends to take with its technical team.

For now, however, Ncikazi's reported links to Chiefs should not be interpreted as confirmation of negotiations, an agreement or an imminent appointment.

The coming days could prove important in determining whether the reported coaching shake-up develops into a concrete story or remains speculation.

Chiefs supporters will be watching closely for any communication from the club regarding da Cruz's position and the future composition of the technical team.

For a club with the stature and expectations of Kaizer Chiefs, stability, clear leadership and a consistent football philosophy remain crucial to building a team capable of challenging for silverware.

Until the club confirms any changes, the possibility of da Cruz leaving and Ncikazi arriving remains an unverified report rather than an established development.
