Ex-Siwelele Winger Maloisane Mokhele Finds New Club After Departure
Ex-Siwelele Winger Maloisane Mokhele Finds New Home as Welkom Real Stars Secure His Services
Former Siwelele FC winger Maloisane Mokhele has reportedly secured a new club after joining Free State ABC Motsepe League outfit Welkom Real Stars.
According to information confirmed by Soccer Laduma, the ambitious lower-division side has strengthened its squad with the acquisition of the experienced attacker as it looks to improve its competitiveness in the ABC Motsepe League.
Mokhele's arrival represents an important addition for Welkom Real Stars, who will be hoping that his experience at professional level can make a significant difference to their attacking department.
The 29-year-old winger is no stranger to South African football, having previously represented several clubs in the domestic game. His experience includes spells with Chippa United, Sekhukhune United, Magesi FC and, more recently, Siwelele FC.
He also had an opportunity to showcase his abilities outside South Africa, featuring for Botswana Premier League outfit Matebele FC before returning home.
Mokhele initially joined Siwelele in February 2026 as the Bloemfontein-based club looked to strengthen its attacking options during the second half of the campaign.
However, his stay at the club proved relatively short-lived, with Siwelele eventually deciding against exercising its option to retain his services beyond the season.
His departure left the experienced winger searching for another opportunity, with the player previously expressing confidence that he would find a new club.
Now, the move to Welkom Real Stars offers him an opportunity to get his football career back on track and demonstrate that he still has plenty to offer.
For Welkom Real Stars, securing a player with Mokhele's background could prove valuable, particularly given his experience competing in South Africa's top professional divisions.
His understanding of the demands of professional football, combined with his attacking qualities and versatility on the wings, could provide the team with an important advantage.
The move also highlights the competitive nature of South African football, where experienced players continue to find opportunities outside the top-flight structures.
Although Welkom Real Stars compete below the Premier Soccer League level, Mokhele's arrival could attract considerable attention as the club looks to establish itself as a competitive force.
Supporters will now be eager to see how quickly the former Siwelele attacker settles into his new surroundings and whether he can use his experience to help the club achieve its ambitions.
For Mokhele, this is another opportunity to revive his career and potentially work his way towards a return to professional football.
