Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly making plans to secure the future of young defensive talent Malibongwe Khoza amid growing interest from European clubs.

The talented South African defender has continued attracting attention through his development at Chloorkop, with his performances reportedly placing him on the radar of clubs outside the country.

However, Sundowns are understood to be keen on retaining the services of the promising youngster as they look to protect one of their emerging defensive assets from potentially leaving the club.

Khoza's development has been an encouraging story for the Brazilians, who have continued investing in young South African footballers while maintaining their ambitions of competing for major domestic and continental honours.

The reported European interest is another indication of the attention that South African football talents are receiving beyond the country's borders. European clubs regularly monitor emerging players from different African leagues, particularly those who demonstrate the potential to develop into top-level professionals.

For Khoza, such attention could represent an important opportunity in his football career. However, remaining at Sundowns could also provide him with an opportunity to gain more experience, improve his game and establish himself within a competitive squad.

The defender's situation is particularly interesting because Sundowns have built a reputation for developing young players and giving talented footballers opportunities to progress through their system.

Retaining Khoza would allow the club to continue working on his development while potentially benefiting from his services in the coming seasons.

Meanwhile, the possibility of interest from European clubs could place Sundowns in a position where they must carefully consider their plans for the youngster.

For the Brazilians, losing a promising defender too early could affect their long-term squad planning, especially if they believe he has the potential to become an important player for the first team.

Sundowns supporters will therefore be interested in seeing how the situation develops and whether the club can convince the youngster to continue his journey at Chloorkop.

For now, the reported European interest and Sundowns' intention to secure his future have placed Malibongwe Khoza's next career move under the spotlight.
