More To Fall: Singida Black Stars Part Ways With Austrian Star Marcel Canadi As Mass Exit Looms

Tanzanian Premier League club Singida Black Stars have reportedly started making changes to their squad after parting ways with Austrian attacking midfielder Marcel Canadi and Guinean footballer Mohamed Damaro.

Canadi's departure is said to have been reached through mutual agreement, bringing his time at the club to an end. The midfielder joined Singida Black Stars with expectations that he would strengthen their attacking options and contribute creativity in the middle of the pitch. However, he is now expected to look for another opportunity to continue his professional football career.

Damaro has also been mentioned among the players leaving the Tanzanian side, although details surrounding the circumstances of his departure have not yet been made public.

The two exits could be the first steps in a wider squad restructuring process as Singida Black Stars assess their performances and consider changes ahead of the remaining challenges of the campaign.

Reports suggest that the club is dissatisfied with the contributions of some players and could consider releasing those who have not met expectations. However, Singida Black Stars have not officially provided a complete list of players who may be affected by the reported plans.

If further departures take place, the club could use the opportunity to bring in new players who better fit its tactical approach and long-term ambitions.

Nevertheless, rebuilding a squad requires careful planning. Releasing players without securing suitable replacements could weaken the team, while effective recruitment could improve its competitiveness.

The coming weeks may reveal whether Canadi and Damaro's exits are isolated decisions or part of a more extensive overhaul at Singida Black Stars. Both players will now be looking for new clubs where they can continue their careers.
