The Premier Soccer League (PSL) has announced that the quarter-final draw for the 2026/27 Carling Knockout Cup will take place after the final Round of 16 fixture between Stellenbosch FC and Durban City on Wednesday, October 28, 2026.

The draw will determine the four quarter-final matchups and establish which teams will enjoy home-ground advantage as the competition moves closer to its decisive stages.

Several of South Africa's leading clubs remain in the race for the trophy, including defending champions Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns and Kaizer Chiefs. However, their progression to the quarter-finals depends on their performances in their respective Round of 16 encounters.

The final match of the opening knockout round will see Durban City welcome Stellenbosch FC to Chatsworth Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 19:00. Once the match has concluded, the attention of the remaining clubs and their supporters will turn to the quarter-final draw.

According to the PSL, the draw will follow a format involving three separate pots. The participating teams will be divided into seeded and unseeded categories based on their positions in the previous season's Betway Premiership standings.

Under the arrangement, each quarter-final pairing will consist of one seeded team and one unseeded team. The procedure will determine the opponents for the last eight while also helping establish the home-ground advantage for the upcoming matches.

Four clubs have already secured their places in the quarter-finals. Golden Arrows, Siwelele FC, AmaZulu FC and Sekhukhune United have progressed beyond the Round of 16 and are waiting to discover which teams they will face next.

The remaining Round of 16 fixtures will determine the four other clubs that complete the quarter-final lineup. With several established contenders still pursuing qualification, the results could set up some exciting encounters in the next stage of the competition.

The quarter-final draw will provide the remaining teams with a clearer picture of the challenge ahead as they continue their pursuit of the 2026/27 Carling Knockout title.
