Pantev Makes Big Prediction About Richards Bay Star As Bigger Future Beckons For XuluRichards Bay head coach Dimitar Pantev has delivered a major endorsement of rising striker Nqaba Xulu, expressing his belief that the young forward has the quality to compete at a much higher level if he continues developing at his current rate.

The Bulgarian tactician has also made an important appeal concerning the striker's fitness, admitting that he is crossing his fingers that Xulu can avoid injuries and maintain his impressive goalscoring form for the KwaZulu-Natal outfit.

Xulu has emerged as one of the brightest attacking prospects in the Betway Premiership this season, with his performances providing Richards Bay with an important source of goals despite the club's difficult campaign.

The 23-year-old has already established himself as the Natal Rich Boyz's leading goalscorer, demonstrating his ability to make the most of opportunities even when his team struggles to create numerous clear-cut chances.

Speaking after Richards Bay's elimination from the Carling Knockout Cup, Pantev was full of praise for the young striker's attitude, ambition and natural finishing ability.

The coach believes Xulu possesses the necessary qualities to take his football career to another level, but has emphasised the importance of remaining fit.

"I already talked about this guy. He has really high quality. And if he continues like that, I think that his future is moving too good. He can play on the higher stage. So, I cross fingers for him to be fit without injuries," Pantev said, as reported by iDiski Times.

The coach's comments underline just how important Xulu has become to the Richards Bay project.

Xulu's statistics explain why Pantev is so excited about his potential. The striker has scored five goals in the Betway Premiership, placing him among the division's leading goalscorers.

He is currently tied with Orlando Pirates forward Tshepang Moremi, while AmaZulu striker Thandolwenkosi Ngwenya leads the scoring charts with nine goals.

Xulu has also increased his overall tally to six goals in all competitions after scoring Richards Bay's consolation goal in their 3-1 Carling Knockout defeat against Sekhukhune United on 25 October.

His clinical finishing has become particularly valuable for a Richards Bay side that has struggled to turn performances into positive results.

There is further encouragement for the young forward, who has reportedly earned a place in Bafana Bafana's preliminary squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Kenya.

Such recognition could represent another important step in his development and potentially open the door to greater opportunities on the international stage.

With his performances attracting attention, Xulu will be determined to maintain his momentum and continue proving his worth.

For Richards Bay, keeping their leading goalscorer fit could prove crucial as they look to improve their league campaign.
