Tottenham have another exciting young striker coming through their youth ranks in Oliver Boast, but this time they must avoid repeating the mistake they made with Will Lankshear and Troy Parrott.
Back in September, Spurs Web shared an update on how Tottenham’s young Under-18s striker Oliver Boast was performing for the youth side.
At the time, the forward was in excellent goalscoring form, having scored 12 goals, including an impressive four in one match against West Brom.
Since then, the striker has only gone from strength to strength, maintaining his fine form in front of goal.
So far this season, Boast has already bagged a whopping 15 goals and provided four assists in nine U18 Premier League games for the Tottenham youth side.
| Season | Competition | Appearances | Goals | Assists | Minutes played |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2026/27 | U18 Premier League | 9 | 15 | 4 | 721 |
Not only is that impressive, but the young striker is now close to making history. During his time at Leeds United in 2024/25, before he moved to Tottenham, the Under-18 star scored nine goals in 18 U18 Premier League games.
Combining his return for Leeds and Tottenham, Boast now has a total of 38 goals in 54 appearances, making him the joint-top scorer in the competition’s history.
Should he grab one more goal during the course of the season, he will break the record and become the all-time top scorer in the U18 Premier League.
The youngster could break the record later this month when Spurs’ Under-18 side take on Southampton.

Boast is only 17 and still has a long way to go in his career, but his goalscoring form is something Spurs will be keeping a close eye on.
In the past, Tottenham have had exciting young goalscorers come through their ranks, but many have not gone on to become regulars in the first team.
Will Lankshear is one who readily springs to mind. During his time in the youth ranks at Spurs, the youngster was just as prolific in front of goal, scoring an impressive 31 goals in the Tottenham youth system.
That run included four goals in five U18 Premier League appearances and 18 goals in 25 Premier League 2 appearances.
Spurs also had Troy Parrott come through their ranks, and the Irishman was equally impressive during his time in their youth set-up.
In 12 Under-18 appearances, Parrott managed an outstanding 15 goals. These are just a few examples of youngsters who impressed at youth level but never really got a chance at senior level at Spurs.
Lankshear, as we know, has taken the Championship by storm following his permanent move from Tottenham last summer.
So far, he is the leading scorer in the English second tier, having managed 13 goals in 13 appearances.

Parrott, meanwhile, is coming off one of the best goalscoring seasons of his career. In 2025/26, the AZ Alkmaar man scored an impressive 31 goals and provided 12 assists in 48 appearances in all competitions.
Spurs never got to integrate these strikers, whom they eventually sold, and both have gone on to find success elsewhere.
With Boast, they will certainly be looking to avoid a similar outcome. The youngster is still developing and needs to continue refining and honing his skills at Tottenham.
No one expects him to be thrown straight into the first team this early on. With him still in the Under-18s, the natural next step will be for Boast to test himself at the next level with the Under-21s.
Should he impress there as well, then perhaps a loan to the Championship could be ideal, or a gradual integration into the first team.
Harry Kane, who is now the best player in the world, had a few loan spells after a stint with the Spurs Under-21s before becoming a first-team regular, and the same could well be the case for Boast if he continues to impress at youth level.
