MATHEUS CUNHA had Manchester United supporters in stitches when he attempted to sit with them just moments after being sent off in the match against Roma.
The Brazilian striker was instrumental in United’s remarkable 3-2 Champions League comeback at Old Trafford last night.
Cunha netted twice in the dying minutes before being shown a red card in stoppage time for a second yellow card.
However, instead of heading straight to the locker room, the 27-year-old chose to make his way towards the crowd, seemingly attempting to join the home supporters.
Videos circulating on social media captured Cunha sitting on an advertising board in front of the crowd as fans cheered him on.
United followers were enjoying his charming antics, with one comment on X saying: “Cunha went to join the fans after getting sent off, dude just unlocked infinite aura.”

A third added: “Matheus Cunha attempted to sit with the FANS for the remaining minutes after receiving his red card against Roma. It’s impossible to dislike him.”
Cunha had received his first yellow card after ripping his shirt off and leaping into the crowd to celebrate his remarkable 86th-minute winner.
But his emotions got the better of him again just five minutes later, resulting in a second yellow for a late sliding challenge.
