Thabang Matuludi scored twice as Mamelodi Sundowns beat Durban City 4–1 at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Saturday, while Kruger United defeated Richards Bay 3–1 at Mbombela Stadium.

Both winning sides added goals in stoppage time in the Betway Premiership matches, according to the Premier Soccer League’s match records for 31 October.

Matuludi headers put Sundowns in control

Matuludi opened the scoring in the 34th minute, heading in Marcelo Allende’s delivery following a corner. He doubled the lead in the 66th minute with another header, this time from Aubrey Modiba’s cross.

Substitute Iqraam Rayners made it 3–0 in the 79th minute from Siyanda Ndlovu’s cross. Jean Lwamba pulled a goal back for Durban City seven minutes later.

Antonio Van Wyk restored Sundowns’ three-goal advantage in the fourth minute of added time, finishing a counter-attack after Arthur Sales supplied the assist.

Zwane’s late goal seals Kruger victory

Kruger struck early through Wonderboy Makhubu, who headed in Ebrahim Seedat’s delivery following a third-minute corner.

Seedat then converted a penalty in the 22nd minute after Siyabonga Gumede handled in the area. Luyanda Khumalo reduced Richards Bay’s deficit in the 39th minute.

Kruger goalkeeper Marcel Dandjinou saved Sphamandla Makhalala’s long-range effort in the 85th minute. Substitute Mancoba Zwane, introduced in the 89th minute, added the home side’s third in the third minute of stoppage time.

The results followed Orlando Pirates’ 2–1 Soweto derby victory over Kaizer Chiefs earlier on Saturday.
