According to a report by BBC Sport on Saturday, October 24, 2026, Coventry City suffered a painful 1-0 defeat to Fulham in their Premier League clash at the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Coventry started the game with the intention of making the most of their home advantage, putting pressure on Fulham and looking for an early goal that could give them confidence. However, despite their efforts to create chances, they struggled to make their opportunities count, while the visitors gradually settled into the game and began to enjoy more possession.
Fulham had a good opportunity to take the lead in the 18th minute when Joshua King's effort struck the post, giving Coventry an early warning about the danger they could cause. Both teams continued to search for a breakthrough, but neither side managed to find the back of the net before the referee brought the first half to an end.
The second half saw Fulham continue to control much of the possession as Coventry tried to find a way through their opponents' defence. The home side also had chances to score, but their finishing let them down, while Fulham remained patient and waited for the right moment to punish them.
That moment finally arrived in the 80th minute when Oscar Bobb found the back of the net with a left-footed finish after being set up by Joshua King, with Antonee Robinson also playing an important role in the move. The goal gave Fulham the advantage, and they managed to hold on despite Coventry's late attempts to find an equaliser.
Coventry pushed forward during the closing stages, but Fulham defended well to protect their lead until the final whistle. The result means Frank Lampard's team have dropped into the relegation zone, sitting 19th with six points, while Fulham climbed to 12th position with eight points.
