Liverpool Considering €100 million Move for Real Madrid Captain – report

According to a report by Madrid Universal on Wednesday November 4, 2026, Liverpool are reportedly considering a €100 million offer for Real Madrid captain Federico Valverde, who has emerged as a transfer target.

According to reports, the Uruguayan is attracting interest from the Premier League side, although Real Madrid have no plans to let one of their key players leave.

Liverpool’s interest is reportedly linked to uncertainty surrounding Alexis Mac Allister’s future. The Argentine has been associated with Real Madrid, and his possible departure could force Liverpool to search for a midfielder capable of maintaining the quality and intensity of their engine room.

Valverde is viewed as a suitable option because of his versatility, energy and experience. Although he has recently been used in defence at the Santiago Bernabeu, Liverpool appreciate his ability to influence matches from midfield and contribute in different positions.

The report claims the English club are considering a bid worth around €100 million to test Real Madrid’s resolve. However, the chances of completing such a deal are considered extremely slim.

Valverde’s role at Real Madrid has changed under Jose Mourinho. The Portuguese coach has made the 27-year-old his preferred right-back, valuing his physical strength, work rate and attacking contribution.

The tactical adjustment has not reduced the midfielder’s importance. Instead, his adaptability has made him a regular option, although he could still return to midfield whenever required.

Real Madrid consider Valverde a central figure in Mourinho’s plans. The club reportedly sees him as valuable to its long-term project. His leadership and ability to perform different roles have strengthened his standing within the squad.

Despite Liverpool’s reported willingness to spend a significant amount, Madrid are not looking to negotiate his departure. The Spanish giants are therefore expected to resist any approach for their captain.
