Arsenal have been informed that Yan Diomande is performing beyond expectations at Real Madrid following the teenage forward's impressive start to his career in Spain after completing a high-profile summer transfer.
According to a report by FootballTransfers on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, the Gunners were previously interested in signing the Ivory Coast international before he secured a €125 million (£104 million) move from RB Leipzig to Real Madrid.
The 19-year-old has quickly established himself as a promising attacking option at the Santiago Bernabeu, registering seven goal contributions in his last eight appearances for the Spanish giants.
Diomande has been particularly impressive during Vinicius Junior's absence from the team, with the Brazilian currently serving a lengthy domestic suspension. The youngster has taken full advantage of the opportunity, producing impressive displays and making valuable contributions in attack.
The Ivorian has scored against Villarreal, Sevilla, RB Leipzig and Racing Santander, further highlighting his attacking ability and growing influence at the highest level.
Diario AS journalist Carlos Forjanes believes Diomande is already delivering performances that justify the substantial transfer fee Real Madrid paid to bring him to the club.
Reflecting on the teenager's impact, Forjanes wrote: "Since then, he has left his mark on seven goals, either by scoring them himself (four) or by providing the decisive assist (three)."
The journalist also drew attention to Diomande's impressive dribbling numbers, revealing that he has completed 34 successful dribbles, just five fewer than Kylian Mbappe's 39, despite the French forward having spent 512 additional minutes on the pitch.
Forjanes further suggested that the youngster has surpassed expectations, especially after being handed an opportunity to feature regularly following Vinicius Junior's absence.
Meanwhile, Arsenal were among several European clubs looking to improve their attacking options during the summer transfer window, as Mikel Arteta sought to bring more quality and depth to his forward line.
The North London side reportedly considered signing Diomande before he eventually moved to Real Madrid. Arsenal also explored ambitious moves for Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez, Vinicius Junior and Juventus attacker Kenan Yildiz.
Despite missing out on several major attacking targets, the Gunners have made an impressive start to the 2026/27 season, securing 12 victories from their 15 matches across all competitions.
They also strengthened their position with a significant win over Liverpool, recording their first victory at Anfield since 2012.
Arteta has now shifted his focus to Wednesday's Champions League clash against Slavia Praha, with Arsenal hoping to maintain their strong run of form in European competition.
Meanwhile, Diomande will be eager to continue his impressive displays when Real Madrid face AEK Athens, as he looks to establish himself further in the Spanish capital.
His rapid progress and growing influence have attracted widespread attention across European football, particularly from clubs that previously considered bringing him in.
For Arsenal, the teenager's emergence at Real Madrid could serve as a reminder of the attacking talent they missed out on during the summer, with the Ivorian continuing to make a strong impression at the Santiago Bernabeu.
